Girl In A Bus
Her arms around his neck entwine,
Her head upon his chest,
As if to say this father mine,
In all the world is best.
He has no fault in her young eyes,
Which shine with love so clear,
He is her refuge strong and wise,
With him she knows no fear.
But as she grows she'll come to know,
That parents can be wrong,
They have their fears, their tears can flow,
They are not always strong.
Yet in the meantime each young day,
May parents ev'rywhere,
Earn children's trust along the way,
Providing love and care.
And when these children are aware,
As humans we are weak,
Then may they know a Father's there,
With strength for all who seek.
